Click to play videoNew Delhi: After weeks of questioning the accused, the CBI on Friday interrogated the Noida police over missing evidence in the murder of Arushi and Hemraj.
“We are trying to ascertain what apparel Krishna had worn when he was picked up. So we have questioned the Noida police,” said CBI Jt Director Arun Kumar.
It was a clear hint that the CBI suspects the Noida police may have consciously or unconsciously tampered with crucial evidence in the sensational double murder case.
The agency wants to send Krishna’s clothes for forensic analysis. His khukri has already been sent to a forensic lab.
Meanwhile, Arushi's father, Rajesh Talwar, was subjected to another lie detector test at the CBI headquarters on Friday.
In no other case in recent memory has the CBI conducted so many tests to aid its investigation.
Since it took over the case on May 31:
- Rajesh Talwar has been undergone two polygraph tests and a psycho analysis.
- His wife Nupur has also been subject to lie-detector and psycho-analysis tests.
- Krishna, their compounder, has been put through a narco analysis, a polygraphy and psycho analysis test.
- Talwar’s family friends, the Durranis, have also undergone a psycho analysis.
- Their help rajkumar also underwent the same test and also a lie-detector test. He was been questioned for five consecutive days.
- Servant of one of Talwars’ neighbours, Vijay Mandal, has also undergone a lie detector test.
Thirty seven days of investigations, three investigating agencies, two arrests and several tests on many people later, no one knows who killed Arushi and Hemraj and why.
Perhaps the second test on Rajesh Talwar could help clear the air about his involvement in the Noida double murder.
