Patil further said way in which water was wasted by Asaram and his followers in Nagpur was wrong. "The drought situation in the state is worrying. We will define our policy and collect a fine at the earliest," Patil added.

Asaram on Monday came under flak for wasting water at a pre-Holi celebrations at his ashram. In fact, he had water tankers brought in from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation for the occasion. Activists staged a black flag demonstration outside the venue to protest against the misuse of water.
