Ash's guards 'clash' with priests

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai’s visit to the Brahma temple at Pushkar, about 10 kilometres away from Ajmer on Thursday wasn’t a very peaceful one.

Aishwarya, who first visited the tomb of Sufi saint Khawaja Moinudeen Chisti in Ajmer almost went unnoticed till she arrived in Pushkar.

There were reports of a scuffle having taken place between Aishwarya's bodyguards and some priests at Pushkar.

Aishwarya, who was dressed in a black pair of jeans, a shirt and scarf was accompanied by her mother.

She was at the dargah for about 10 minutes when she offered a chadar at the saint's Tomb and then left for Pushkar.

A huge crowd of people tried to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood beauty when she came out of the temple in Pushkar. But policemen pushed all of them away, a senior police official told news agency PTI.

Evading questions from reporters about her relationship with actor Abhishekh Bachchan, Aishwarya was quoted by PTI as saying, "Whatever city I visit, I go to temples or religious places for prayers.”
