Click to play videoMumbai: Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker launched the DVD of his acclaimed film Jodhaa Akbar in grand style. Adding glitter to the event were some of the members of the cast and crew.
Actor Sonu Sood, designer Neeta Lulla and lyricist Javed Akhtar were among those present at the event to extend their support to the filmmaker.
Gowariker also announced his next period drama on the anvil.
"My next film would be Khele Hum Jee Jaan Se. It's based on the novel Do or Die written by Manani Chatterjee, and it's about the 1930's Chitagong uprising event," said Gowariker.
But first, the filmmaker plans to complete his upcoming comedy, What's Your Rashi?.
Gowariker, who has won accolades for serious cinema, calls his foray into comedy a big challenge. What's Your Rashi? stars Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.
"A romantic comedy is a genre I have never attempted, so how I will be able to make an entertaining, commercial film will be challenge in itself," said the filmmaker.
All eyes are on Gowariker to see if he can win the challenge.
