Assam: 1 child killed, 4 injured in blast in Digboi

Guwahati: One child has been killed and four others injured in a bomb blast in Assam's Digboi. The bomb was placed under a concrete pipe in a village road. The blast took place at 4.15 pm.

According to eyewitnesses a group of children were playing near the pipe when one of them picked up an object that looked like a grenade. As soon as a girl in the group picked up the grenade-like object, it went off killing her and injuring others.

Till now no militant group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
