Guwahati: Adding fuel to the volatile situation in violence-hit Assam, one more person was shot dead at Kokrajhar by unidentified persons at around 7.30 pm on Friday.
There were reportedly three assailants on motorbikes, who killed owner of a pharmacy shop at Pandarchowa under Salakati police station.
The violence between the Bodos and minority migrants claimed 78 lives so far in violence-hit areas of Kokrajhar, Chirang, Dhubri and Baksa districts.
An estimated three lakh violence affected people are currently living in 228 relief camps in four trouble-torn districts of lower Assam.
