New Delhi: Asus has announced its entry into the budget tablet market in India with the launch of the Asus MeMO Pad. The 7-inch tablet is priced at Rs 9,999.
The MeMO Pad's screen has a resolution of 1024x600 pixels at 169 pixels per inch. It runs on Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory. The tablet is powered by a 1GHz VIA WM8950 CPU and a Mali-400 GPU. The storage is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
The tablet has a 1 megapixel front facing camera that can record videos at 720p resolution at up to 30 frames per second. The Ausu MeMO Pad is available in three colours - Sugar White, Titanium Grey and Cherry Pink.
Asus has also bundled the Asus Webstorage app with 5GB of lifetime free cloud storage.
The Asus MeMO pad will be available in stores from next week.
