New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.
Vajpayee is reportedly suffering from fever and chest congestion. He is likely to be kept under observation at the hospital overnight. The octogenarian leader has not been at the peak of his health for several months now. He is widely expected not to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls due to ill-health.
BJP President Rajnath Singh who visited Atal Bihari Vajpayee late Tuesday night at AIIMS said that the doctors have assured that he will be fine soon.
"He was suffering from fever since yesterday, due to which he had also developed a chest pain.The doctor has said that he will be alright soon. I am will not have to say here for too long," Rajnath Singh told reporters.
