Vancuover: A late slide put paid to Indian golfer Arjun Atwal's chances of making the cut as he fell by the wayside after carding a modest even-par 70 in the second round of the RBC Canadian Open here.

Atwal's second round of 70, along with his first round 79, left him 149, while the cut came at 144.

Atwal opened with a bogey, but then had four birdies on sixth, 12th, 15th and 17th before crashing out with a triple bogey.
