Voges has a tight hamstring following his century in the fifth and final ODI at the MCG on Sunday.
Melbourne: Cricket Australia (CA) on Monday named Queensland batsman Joe Burns as a cover for Adam Voges for the upcoming Twenty20 International against the West Indies on Wednesday.
Voges has a tight hamstring following his century in the fifth and final One-Day International at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. "Joe Burns, the 23-year-old Queensland batsman, has been placed on standby for Adam Voges for the T20I at the Gabba Wednesday," national selector John Inverarity said in a statement released Monday.
"Joe has shown impressive form throughout this season, was deservedly awarded the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year award at the Allan Border Medal, and his good form has also resulted in selection for Australia A against the England Lions in their five-match series starting this Saturday."
