Trinity College confers honorary fellowship on Rahman

UK cops re-arrest husband for killing wife

A month after Geeta Aulakh's tragic death, police have re-arrested her husband Harpreet Aulakh, who was released on bail last month with 10 others. The 28 year old mother of two was found brutally murdered on November 16 with her right hand severed and body mutilated. Geeta's family is still trying to come to terms with their loss.

Indian soldier gallantry medal's auction called off

London Auctioneers Dix Noonan Webb has called off the sale of the George Cross, which was awarded to Indian soldier Naik Kirpa Ram in 1946 for bravery. Kirpa Ram's wife had alleged that the medal was stolen from her home seven years ago.

Murdered UK Indian's husband arrested, released on bail

It has been three days since 28-year-old Geeta Aulakh was found murdered with her arm chopped off. The police had arrested six men for the murder - including her husband Harpreet Aulakh. Harpreet, however, was released on bail until mid-January next year.
