Bhopal gangrape victim denies identifying accused

The June 17 Bhopal gangrape case has taken a new twist with the victim now saying that she has not identified anyone. The story narrated by the victim is quite different from the police's version. She says she is a bar dancer and the man with whom she had come to Bhopal is not her husband as claimed by the police.

6 women die in hospital, MP CM faces the heat

Six women have died within 15 hours in a government hospital meant for women and children in the capital of Madhya Pradesh. According to Sultania Hospital, four of the victims were pregnant and one of them was brought dead. But Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been spending crores every year on his pet women welfare schemes Ladli Lakshmi Yojana and Janani Suraksha Yojana which are supposed to take care of women right from birth, well into motherhood.

War hero dies in penury, bravery counts for nothing

Radhe Shyam Tiwari fought three wars for India, winning seven bravery awards, but died in poverty with his family scrounging around and appealing to friends for money to perform the last rites of the 75-year-old war hero.
