New Delhi: A notice has been issued to Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi and UP Congress leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi for allegedly disrupting educational activities at Shibli College in Azamgarh. Returning officer and Azamgarh DM issued the notice to the two on Saturday.
Rahul Gandhi had stayed at the college guest house on the night of January 10.
The next day, however, the college became a venue of protest with male students burning an effigy of Rahul Gandhi over the Batala house encounter issue.
Subsequently male students were not allowed to enter the premises of the college and only female students were allowed to meet Rahul Gandhi.
