Azarenka brushes aside Flipkens in US Open Rd 2

New York: Top-seeded Victoria Azarenka advanced to the third round of the US Open with a straight-set win over qualifier Kirsten Flipkens.

Azarenka won 6-2, 6-2 in 65 minutes Wednesday. The Australian Open champ from Belarus has never been past the fourth round at Flushing Meadows.

Flipkens, a 133rd-ranked Belgian, beat 60th-ranked Barbora Zahlavova Strycova of the Czech Republic in the first round.

Azarenka won 6-2, 6-2 in 65 minutes Wednesday. The Australian Open champ from Belarus has never been past the fourth round at Flushing Meadows.

Azarenka has lost just five games through her first two matches at this year's Open.
