New Delhi: There is nothing that can stop the fitness conscious, even babies for that matter.
'Baby Yoga', a new yoga trend has taken America by storm with the trendsetters being as little as two-months old.
Yoga instructor Shari Blatt did not want to limit her classes to adults alone, she wanted to impart knowledge of yoga postures to the babies as well so that’s how the concept came into practice.
"Babies do yoga naturally on their own, when they are on their bellies and they first start to push up their head, that's the cobra pose. When they first start to push themselves up trying to stand, they are in their downward dog pose. Its something that happens so naturally, it makes sense," she says.
Other than having fun, the babies also seem to be getting smarter because of these classes.
However, a little caution is advisable as Julia Loudon, mother of eight-month-old Sage says, "It is not as serious because you have to focus on where your baby is going especially when they start moving around. But the babies love it."
