New Delhi: Now, good news for baby Krittika who was abandoned thrice ever since she was just three days old. Reason? Apprehension that she could be an HIV positive. But now, the medical tests surprisingly have shown that she's in the clear.

Little Kritika now sleeps peacefully in a ward at the Noida hospital, oblivious of the storm that just passed her by. As the report of her not carrying the HIV positive virus came in the hospital staff taking care of her rejoiced.

“She is a normal child now. She will grow up like other children,” said Narendra Gupta MD, Satya Hospital.

The report clears the all hurdles in her adoption. The NGO taking care of the 16-day-old baby was facing problem in getting a family to adopt the child. Now hopefully this bundle of joy will find acceptance in a society that cast her away.

"We will follow the legal adoption procedures. We will request people to file application for adoption. Preference will be given to those who do not have a child yet,” said Sonia Kohli

President, Sahyog.

CNN-IBN had reported the story of Kritika, who was found in an autorickshaw, then handed over by the police to a childless family of a medical representative.

The family only kept the baby for three-days, giving up the adoption claims when they discovered that she could be in the window period for contracting HIV. NGO Sahyog took the child in and has since been taking care of her and will continue to do so till a family comes forward to adopt the child.
