Click to play videoNagpur: In yet another case of criminal negligence by hospital staff, a newborn was burnt alive in an incubator at the government medical college. This happened when the nurse who was supposed to monitor the four-day-old baby allegedly fell asleep and did not regulate the temperature.
The infant was admitted on February 19, as his weight was less. The child's parents have alleged that he died because the nurse fell asleep and didn't regulate the temperature of the incubator.
The Maharashtra Medical Education Minister Vijay Kumar Gavit, who was in Nagpur when the incident occurred, has ordered an inquiry into the matter.
