Click to play videoNew Delhi: Bollywood stars, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, were amongst 133 others who were honoured with Padma Shri, the highest civilian honour on Tuesday morning by President Prathibha Patil at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the Capital.
It was in recognition of their contribution to arts and cinema.
And cheering on Ash was the entire Bachchan parivar and family friend Amar Singh. Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were spotted in the audience along with Shweta Nanda.
Akshay Kumar's wife Twinkle Khanna was also present at the ceremony.
Incidentally, this was the fifth National Padma decoration in the Bachchan family.
Amitabh Bachchan's father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan was presented with a Padma Bhushan, while the Big B has received both, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.
Jaya Bachchan, too, was awarded the Padma Shri and this year it was the Bachchan bahu’s turn.
