New Delhi: Niharika Kapoor is dead, Priya Kapoor is behind the bars and Ram Kapoor is busy hallucinating about his wife. Yes, Ekta Kapoor is trying all possible tricks to garner TRPs for her television show ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’. Till now, the show focused on the love story of a middle-aged couple played by Ram Kapoor (Ram) and Sakshi Tanwar (Priya).
Apparently, whenever Ekta and her team run out of ideas for their daily soaps, they decide to bring in a time leap in the plot. Her next target is ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’. The earlier promo showed that Ram and Priya have a daughter together, but they live separately. It suggested that they might end up parting ways.
However, the latest promo show that the police van in which Priya is travelling will meet with an accident. Knowing Ekta Kapoor, its not difficult to predict that Priya will not die in this accident. Let’s wait and watch what Ekta has in mind for Ram and Priya now.
As many reports claim, other actors like Mohit Malhotra who plays Priya’s brother Kartik and Eva Grover, Ram Kapoor’s onscreen mother are not too happy with the idea of a time leap. Eva’s role has already ended with her character’s demise and Mohit also plans to quit the show. Chhahat Khanna who plays Priya’s sister Ayesha is likely to marry Ram. We will get to know with time if all this is true.
Will all these twist and turns in the plot help ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ in grabbing more eyeballs? Be it infidelity or misunderstanding, there is not a single happily married couple on small screen. Ram and Priya Kapoor are a new add-on to the list.
The other problem with most of our television shows is that they go completely off-track if stretched for long. Be it ‘Balika Vadhu’, ‘Uttaran’, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ or any other popular show, all of them seem similar now. Thanks to daily soap queen Ekta Kapoor, ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ is also going the ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ way now.
