Mumbai: Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar's ongoing shoot schedule in Dubai for their television show has come to a standstill. The unit had been shooting on the streets and at shopping malls in the desert emirate with new entry Samir Kocchar without the necessary permission.
As soon as local authorities realised it, they raised objections and placed the cast and crew under house arrest. They have been told to pack up and return to Mumbai as soon as possible. Says a source, "The unit had been freely shooting around Dubai and did not realise that they had not completed the necessary formalities for filming in the country.
The show has a lot of audience in the UAE. The presence of the cast created a buzz when they were spotted filming at public places. This was when the authorities demanded shoot clearance papers which they had not obtained."
Adds the source, "The concerned authorities have put an immediate halt to the shoot. They were told not to shoot even a single sequence whether indoor or outdoors. The crew and cast have been told to stay put and leave the country or seek the necessary clearances for shooting.
This will not only affect the shoot schedule but also the telecast." Since the past couple of episodes the current track of Ekta Kapoor's production has the plot that has taken a five-year-leap unveiling in the desert emirate.
