New Delhi: India's second largest two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto on Thursday said its sales dipped 5 per cent in June.
The sales have fallen from 177,112 units sold in June 2008 to 168,471 units in June 2009.
However, the company's three-wheeler sales rose 26 per cent - to 24,731 units in June this year from 19,629 units in the June 2008.
"Domestic commercial vehicle sales have begun to grow on the back of marketing initiatives focused on the in-city segment," said a company statement.
Bajaj's overall exports in June 2008 were up 4 per cent at 67,726 units as against 64,878 in the corresponding month in 2008.
The company is expecting higher sales in July, riding on the launch of the new Pulsar 220 last week.
Bajaj Auto, which has six product offerings across segments, will launch a mass market product in mid-July, which the company expects will take its sales volume to "high double digit motorcycle sales growth".
