Bangalore: One dead in bank robbery, Rs 10 lakh stolen

Bangalore: In a tragic incident, one person has died after being shot at during a bank robbery in Bangalore. A branch of the Corporation Bank in Hesarghatta in the Karnataka capital was robbed and as much as Rs 10 lakh were stolen by the miscreants.

According the bank officials, the man who was shot at was identified as a customer, Muralidhar, and he succumbed to bullet injuries in a hospital.

The robbery was carried out by just one robber and he fired one shot at the customer's hand as a warning shot. Following this, he took the money from the bank manager.

According to the police, there was no security in the Corporation Bank branch.
