New Delhi: Bangladesh is finally acting tough on terror just ahead of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to India.
Bangladeshi security forces have nabbed chairman of outlawed group National Liberation Front of Tripura Biswamohan Debbarma.
Debberma was wanted by Indian security agencies in connection with murder, use of weapons and explosives.
He is another big catch by Bangladesh authorities just a month after they had handed over United Liberation Front of Asom commanders Sasha Choudhury and Chitrabon Hazarika to India.
While Choudhury is the foreign secretary of ULFA, Hazarika is reported to be the finance secretary. The duo was handed over to Border Security Force officials by Bangladesh Rifles.
The two had been arrested by Bangladesh intelligence officials from Dhaka.
Bangladesh authorities have assured cooperation in finishing off most of the anti-India insurgent groups based in their country.
