Baramulla: Tension flared up in Jammu and Kashmir again as massive protests erupted in Baramulla after the killing of a 20-year-old youth.
The protests have been overnight as the youth was killed on Friday night.
Hundreds came out on the street on Friday night demanding action in what they alleged was an army firing. The police had to even resort to a lathicharge.
The youth has been identified as Aishiq Ahmad and belongs to Watergam.
Reacting to the protests, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said he would check if standard operating procedures were flouted.
Meanwhile, the state government and the army ordered separate probe into the killing of the youth.
