Bangalore: Former Barcelona player Josep 'Pep' Moratalla will head a five-day training camp for children in the 6-17 years age group to be held at the Bangalore football stadium on May 21-25. The FCB Soccer Camp is being organised by FCB Escola in association with Conscient Football, according to KyaZoonga.com, the registration partner for the venture.
Each registration will cost Rs.12,600 and will be on a first-come-first-served basis. This is the second such camp involving the Spanish club. It had conducted a similar exercise in New Delhi earlier this month.
The training imparted at these camps "is the same methodology followed by the first team of FC Barcelona", a press release said. The training programme will be divided into three segments -- introduction, pre-training and training.
"The camp will blend practical training on the pitch and in the classroom with focus on technical, tactical and off-the-pitch tools necessary to succeed in football and in life," the release added. The participants will be divided into Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, Under-14 and Under-17 age groups.
