New Delhi: The magic of Anurag Basu's 'Barfi!' continued to work at the Box Office. The heartwarming movie, about love between a hearing and speech impaired boy and an autistic girl, has grossed Rs 100 crore abroad, according to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
Barfi, which was chosen as India's official entry for the Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category, has grossed 100 crore overseas in only 10 days, he said.
"Barfi had collected Rs 17.1 crore nett in the second weekend taking the 10-day total to Rs 75.7 crore nett," Adarsh had earlier said.
The movie, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Murphy aka Barfi, and Priyanka Chopra as
Jhilmil, has been lauded in film circles for its simplistic and moving narrative that has managed to tug at the heartstrings of audiences which equally enjoy commercial potboilers.
