Formula One discarded driver Rubens Barrichello is considering his options ahead of the next season. The 40-year-old Brazilian, who was dropped by Williams at the end of last season, is currently competing in the IndyCar series with KV Racing Technology.
A number of IndyCar teams have shown their interest to take the services of Barrichello, one of the most experienced drivers in the F1 circuit. The Brazilian too has showed his interest to keep racing in America.
Since his team has struggled in some areas of development with its 2012 chassis, Barrichello has recently admitted that he believes his season would have been much better had he used the previous KV car.

The 40-year-old Brazilian, who was dropped by Williams at the end of last season, is currently competing in the IndyCar series.
KV Racing although is keen to retain his services, Barrichello is yet to express his own desires. But Jimmy Vasser, the co-owner of KV Racing, now wants the Brazilian to be clearer about his future plans. “We’ve got an investment in Rubens, we want to keep him and we’ve got people in Brazil right now trying to sell sponsorships,” he is quoted as saying on the IndyCar website. “He’s free to do what he wants but I’d like to get some clarity because I keep hearing all these stories about where he might be going.”
Bobby Rahal too has openly expressed his interest to take the services of Barrichello. “Is Rubens a guy that we’d look at? Absolutely,” he says. “He’s a good driver, I like his personality and he could be a leader in the team. You’ve got to put him on your radar screen. For us, finding the funding for a second car is our emphasis right now but we certainly hope to be a two-car team next year.”
In the current season, Barrichello is 17th in the standings with three races to go.
