Patna: A senior manager working with Bata was shot dead in Patna by four unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle. Investigators are now looking at whether this could be due to a tender war within his company.
A senior manager with Bata, Pranav Kumar Singh was gunned down on the streets of Patna.
Singh was shot dead while returning home from the Bata factory in Digha. According to eyewitnesses, four gunmen riding two motorbike shot him minutes after he left his office.
"Pranav Kumar was shot dead at Polytechnic More when he was returning to his residence at Kankerbagh from Bata's factory in Digha near Patna," said Senior SP, Patna, Amit Kumar.
"He was shot by four unidentified gunmen on on two bikes," he added.
Sources say this killing could be related to a tender war within the company. However, when contacted senior officials of Bata refused to comment.
A killing like this in the busy evening hours speaks volumes about the worsening law and order situation in Patna.
