BANGALORE: BBMP Shantalanagar (Ward No.111) corporator Shiva Kumar, went absconding from his residence. The police had gone to arrest Kumar after Aditya Raheja filed a complaint against him, his brother and associates for trespassing, threatening, damage to construction material worth Rs 7 lakh with the Cubbon Park police recently.
On March 29, a few people including Shivakumar, his brother and others allegedly barged into the site, where Aditya Raheja, director of Gstaad Hotels Private Limited is constructing a five-star hotel on Vittal Mallya Road and ordered them to stop the work. They threatened the security guards and destroyed the material. They took away other construction material like 88 centring sheets and 37 beam rings. Also, they damaged material worth Rs 7 lakh.
The corporator remained unavailable for comments.
