Mumbai: This will be the first meeting after the conclusion of the third IPL season. There are indications that this meeting will be followed by the Governing Council meeting. All the happenings that led to Modi's suspension are expected to be presented.
The BCCI officials would seek views of all the 10 team owners and present those views to the IPL Governing Council meet at the BCCI headquarters on Friday.
The incidents that led to the suspension of Modi and the future functioning of the league are amongst the crucial points to be discussed at the meeting.
The method and agreements on retention of Indian and foreign players in each team as well as the length of the league are also going to be discussed in the meeting.
Raj Kundra, and some of the other franchises are also likely to have a quick meeting to form a consensus ahead of the meeting with the BCCI office bearers.
Meanwhile, Modi has clarified that the use of the expression "Khap Panchayat" had been misconstrued by a section of the media. In a clarification issued Thursday, his lawyer Mehmood Abdi said: "The comment made by me was my own opinion and not a statement made by me on behalf of Mr. Lalit Modi. The expression Khap Panchayat was not a reference to or used to describe, the BCCI or the Special General Meeting convened on 3rd July."
