New Delhi: It's that time of the year again when queues outside colleges just get longer and the race to get a seat to country's largest university begins.
Admission forms for Delhi University (DU) are now on sale and despite the scorching heat, there's no lack in enthusiasm.
Rishika Kakkad who wants to study Economics (Honors) from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) was in North Campus to fill the centralised form.
"I am so happy. I have finally got it after three hours of torture in the heat," Rishika said.
Admissions into Delhi University are not all that easy. It has two lakh applicants, 80 colleges, 43000 seats and an expected increase in cut offs by 0.5-1 per cent.
But applicants feel the process could be made a little easy if one follows these tips-
·Come with a group of friends to accompany you in the heat.
·Must carry an umbrella and a flask of water
·Carry a newspaper to check the cut off list or better still to fan oneself.
There is also another option if you want to avoid the heat, dust and the queues, wait until the May 6 and 7 to buy your admission form.
There's enough time till May 15 to fill them up and submit them.
Getting forms may not seem like too much fun but college days are probably the best days of your life.
