London: Soccer star David Beckham will star alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in TV advertisements promoting California as a tourist destination.
The British star who had moved to Los Angeles (LA) last year, will be filmed playing football on a beach for the commercials which will also feature State Governor Schwarzenegger and Hollywood actor Rob Lowe, reported Sun online.
The LA Galaxy player was said to be "honoured" to take part in the commercials alongside the former action star. "It will be a massive campaign. The Governor believes David is a big catch in getting tourists to visit," said a source.
"David has had some stick recently, but is doing what he does best - playing good football and scoring goals," the source added.
The England midfielder starred in an ad for sportswear firm Adidas last year alongside hip-hop stars Missy Eliott and Estelle.
In 2005, the Footballer had starred in a Pepsi campaign with Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez. He was also on good friend Snoop Dogg's reality TV show teaching the rapper's kids how to play football and lent his face to a campaign to promote milk, joining A-listers like Madonna and Muhammad Ali.
His latest advert suggests he intends to stay in the US despite rumours of a permanent move to AC Milan.
