Being Santa is not all ho ho ho!

Mumbai: The cheery fat guy in red for whom children have waited for one whole year is finally here. There's no doubt about it, Santa draws his power to please his countless fans from the faith they have in him.

But it’s not fun and merry-making all the way; Santa’s cap comes with a lot of hard work and responsibility. It's not for nothing that they say that with great power comes great responsibility.

“Everything's okay, but it's just too hot,” says one of the Santas, Allwyn.

And you bet the heavy red robe makes it even worse. Add to that a bunch of eager beavers.

But such is the spirit of Christmas that Santa can't resist a photo-op with his avid fans and doesn't mind poking fun at himself.

“Actually, I'm heavy smoker behind this costume. But during these five hours I don't smoke. I control even the urge to go to the toilet,” says another Santa, Royal.

But joking does not come easily to all Santas, especially for a young man, Zuber, who finds it very difficult indeed to speak with a curtain of a moustache coming in the way.

But no matter how Santa feels, there's one thing that makes him return year after year. “Santa’s my favourite!” says a young boy, Ankit.
