Bellary: The CBI is likely to file a chargesheet against the Janardhana Reddy-owned Obulapuram Mining Company in connection with alleged irregularities in the export of iron ore. Reddy is a BJP leader and former state minister.
Sources have said that the CBI has found anomalies in the export of iron ore.
In its assessment, the OMC was exporting three times the volume iron ore than it claimed.
Sources say a CBI team examined the Krishnapatnam port where a major chunk of OMC's export operations take place.
The central probe agency is also believed to have collected several details from the customs department and found that the OMC has several benami firms.
It is now in the process of finding evidence on the benami companies and their exports.
