BANGALORE/BELLARY: Former minister B Sriramulu wants to make his re-entry into the Assembly as grand as his victory in the recently concluded Bellary byelection. A big procession is being planned by Sriramulu’s fans on Wednesday morning before he takes oath as the MLA. According to sources, Sriramulu fans who will throng the capital on Wednesday from across the state would take their leader in a procession from Bannappa Park to the Gandhi statue near Mourya Hotel. After garlanding Mahatma Gandi’s statue, the victorious bypoll candidate will be driven to the Vidhana Soudha.
Earlier, the procession was planned till the Vidhana Soudha, but later it had to be changed as prohibitory orders are in place around the Soudha due to the ongoing legislature session.
Sriramulu, who resigned from the Assembly, won the subsequent byelection defeating his rival candidates in the BJP and Congress.
