Kiev: For Karim Benzema and Franck Ribery, the misery goes on. The France forwards came into the European Championship full of confidence after career-best goal hauls for their clubs last season.
However, neither player has scored in France's three group-stage matches and coach Laurent Blanc will need them to produce much more in the quarterfinal against Spain in Donetsk on Saturday.
Widely considered France's most likely matchwinner, Benzema is struggling, in particular, and has hardly managed a shot on target so far.
Including France's 2-0 loss to Sweden, the Real Madrid forward now hasn't scored in five matches at a major tournament, having failed to find the net at Euro 2008.
