Hollywood: The pop diva-turned-actress Beyonce recorded her second solo album - in secret studio sessions.
"I didn't have my publicist, or the record label or anyone else saying, 'Okay, this is, you know - you have to have this done by this time, and you have to have so many hits," Beyonce says.
The secret recording session will be unveiled on September 4 when the former Destinys Child frontwoman marks her 25th birthday with her second solo album B-day.
"B-day or birthday - comes out on my birthday. The album feels like a celebration," the singer says.
In December, Dreamgirls - the big screen film adaptation of the smash musical will be released. Beyonce plays the diva-like lead singer of a girls group in the film. She shed 20 pounds for the role.
"I'm a curvy woman, and I'm known for being a curvy woman, so I said, 'I want to lose weight, I want to lose those curves, I want to dye my hair darker. I don't want to look like Beyonce. I want to look like Dina," Beyonce says.
But for the diva, who has racked up 11 Grammy’s and $ 58 million in record sales, future plans are somewhat different.
"In the next 25 years, I'll be 50. I would be married, hopefully for some years, a couple of kids - maybe two. Maybe by that time, I will have an Oscar hopefully," she says.
