However, a few others running in the hope of winning a treasure hunt were the cast of Priyadarshan’s latest comic caper Bhagam Bhag, who were clearly clued in to the demands of film promotion.
Starring actors including Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav who are regulars in Priyadarshan’s team, the film is also a comeback vehicle of sorts for politician Govinda.
The film also stars Tanushree Dutta and Arbaaz Khan.
The crew made some candid confessions when asked what had got them running around the most.
"I had to run around during elections and then run around to get back into films," said actor Govinda.
“This is my 69th film and a lot of running has happened in this film,” said director Priyadarshan.
“There was a lot of running to do. We cramped about every thing in just a little while in the film,” said actor Arbaaz Khan.
So did they learn any lessons from all the running that they did?
“It is not important that you run. What is more important is what you are running for,” said Govinda.
“When any of my films becomes a success then I think that I have learnt the formula of success,” said Priyadarshan.
Arbaaz however, added an anecdotal reasoning by saying, “As they say, think before you leap.”
If it was a case of growing wiser the hard way then now we know that even our film stars are not spared from Bhagam Bhag as they say it.
