Mumbai: The chase begins all over again. No, Don is not making a come back yet. We are talking about Priyadarshan's Bhagam Bhag.
After his film Malamaal Weekly made the producers quite malamaal (rich), Director Priyadarshan is in a hurry to complete his 25 years of filmmaking with yet another comic caper Bhagam Bhaag.
'Humour Master' and 'Comedy King' are the latest tags that Priyadarshan holds, but he says that comedies are still the most difficult to make.
"The most difficult thing to do is to make people laugh, because people have different kinds of sense of humour and they have different ideas about entertainment. So it's always a challenge to make people laugh," says he.
Bhagam Bhaag is about the trials and tribulations of Bunty, played by Akshay Kumar, and Babla, played by Govinda, who work as theatre artists for Champak Chaturvedi - Paresh Rawal.
The film revolves around the comic trio as they run from pillar to post trying to avoid unexpectedly hilarious situations.
Joining in the fun are actresses Lara Dutta and Tanushree Dutta.
However, the director believes it is Akshay and Govinda's performances that will crack up the audiences.
"It's more of cartoon than a film. I can say its my version of Tom and Jerry. Sometimes Akshay is Tom and Govinda is Jerry and sometimes it is the other way round," says Priyadarshan.
So hold your breath as the Tom and Jerry chase begins in the third week of December.
