Jaipur: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed another chargesheet in a Jodhpur court in the Bhanwari Devi case on Wednesday. The investigating agency has named 13 people in the 97-page chargesheet including sacked Rajasthan minister Mahipal Singh Maderna and Congress MLA Malkhan Singh. Four others also named in the chargesheet as absconder.

Bhanwari Devi's husband Amarchand has also been accused of conspiracy and chargesheeted.

The accused named in the chargesheet are Sohan Lal (charged with abduction and execution of the crime - he killed Bhanwri), Shahabuddin (charged with luring her to sell car), Kumbha Ram (charged with murder along with Sohan Lal and Shahabuddin), Sahi Ram (allegedly worked as a link between conspirator (Maderna) and two groups of crime executioners. He is Maderna's henchman), Maderna (he is allegedly the main conspirator and his motive was to get the sleaze CD), Malkhan Singh (charged with supporting the crime. His interest is the youngest child of Bhanwari, who allegedly was fathered by Malkhan, and Bhanwari was blackmailing him on this ground), Umesha Ram (an accomplice of Sahi Ram, who allegedly introduced killer Bishna Ram to Sahi Ram), Om Prakash Bishnoi (charged with helping in disposing off the body), Bishna Ram (charged with disposing off the body), Kailash Jhakhar (who is part of Bishna Ram gang), Ashok Bishnoi (who allegedly planned the killing and disposal off body. His plan of killing, however, wasn't executed since Sohan Lal killed Bhanwari even before she reached Bisna gang) and Amarchand (Sohan Lal allegedly promised him Rs 10 lakh to send Bhanwari alone to sell car. Rs 50,000 paid for sending Bhanwari alone. Amarchand, however, didn't know that Bhanwari will be killed. He was told that Malkhan wanted to settle some score and she will be sent back in two days). The other three accused Indira Bishnoi, brothers Pukhraj Bishnoi and Dinesh Bishnoi are absconding. The role of Dinesh and Pukhraj in the disappearance and the subsequent murder of Bhanwari is still under investigation.

This is the second chargesheet in the case, in which 300 witnesses were presented along with two cartons of supporting documents.

Former ministers Maderna and Malkhan Singh are prime accused in the case. On Tuesday, a special CBI court in Jodhpur had extended the judicial custody of 13 accused till March 13.

The murder of Bhanwari Devi was allegedly planned by Mahipal Maderna and Malkhan Singh with the help of Sahi Ram, who, after kidnapping and murdering Bhanwari in a car, gave the body to the Bishna Gang. The Bishna Gang burnt her body near Osian.

According to the CBI, Bhawari's husband Amarchand knew about her abduction in advance.

Malkhan told him to ensure that she came alone to the Billara area. They wanted to kidnap her to ensure that she stayed away from the Mahapanchayat on September 8, 2011. For this, her husband was paid Rs 10 lakh by Malkhan Singh.

Bhanwari Devi had gone missing from Jodhpur's Billara area on September 1. Maderna was sacked from the Rajasthan Cabinet by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on October 16 over allegations that he had featured in a sleaze CD with her and had a role in her disappearance.

While Maderna was arrested on December 2, Malkhan Singh was arrested on December 19, both for their involvement in the case.
