New Delhi: There has been a shot in the arm for the Prosecution in the Nitish Katara murder case.
HDFC bank has testified and confirmed to Court that Bharti Yadav had indeed opened a bank account with a cheque from Nitish’s account.
She had further used his residential address to do the same. This testimony is crucial for the Prosecution as it corroborates their claim that the two indeed were close
Nitish Katara was allegedly murdered by Vikas Yadav, Bharti's brother. He and his cousin Vishal are in prison facing trial.
Nitish Katara’s mother, Neelam Katara also confirmed reports and said, “This cheque figured on the account opening form used by Bharati in BNP Bank. It has been confirmed that this cheque was issued from Nitish’s account. Also that this account has our residential address and after Nitish’s murder, she had given the bank a letter to change the address.”
