New Delhi: Bhavna Yadav, a prime witness in the Nitish Katara murder case, on Friday submitted in the court photographs and claimed they showed that her sister Bharti had no special relationship with the deceased.

Appearing before the court of Additional Sessions Judge Ravinder Kaur, Bhavna also identified Bharti's friends Bharat Diwakar, Nitish, Shivani Gaur and Gaurav Gupta in the photographs.

To a question by the prosecutor that why the photographs were all in "close postures", she said the people in them were close friends. She did not appear in any of the photographs, which were withheld from the press.

The prosecutor submitted that the authenticity of the photographs was not certain as the photographer, who took the pictures and the persons in them, were not present before the court.

Bhavna told the court that she got the photographs in her possession when Bharti was studying in IMT Ghaziabad and she could not say which of them were clicked with a digital camera.

The prosecution further questioned her about her testimony on March 28 that Vikas and Vishal Yadav had left the marriage venue in a Mercedes on February 16, 2002 contrary to the prosecution version that they had left with Nitish in a Tata Safari.

Vikas and Vishal Yadav, son and nephew of Uttar Pradesh politician D P Yadav, are accused of kidnapping and killing Nitish as they did not like his relationship with their sister Bharti.
