Big B casts his vote for IIFA

Mumbai: Dressed in a sleek black blazer and sporting dark shades, Amitabh Bachchan showed up to cast his vote for the annual IIFA Awards scheduled to happen in Bangkok this year.

Bachchan also used the event to clear the air about some stories that were doing rounds like the reason behind the Bachchan family’s absence from the Filmfare Awards. The rumour has it that the family wanted to avoid being the butt of host SRK's jokes.

“Nobody takes offence when someone within the film industry cracks a joke or two,” says Big B.

Brushing controversial issue like the land case in Pune and Raj Thackrey, Bachchan preferred to speak about his forthcoming film Bhootnath where he plays a ghost, and the song that he has lent his voice to in the film.

“I have lost my voice because of all that singing,” says Amitabh Bachchan.

As for the Bangkok edition of this year IIFA Awards, there’s a good chance that the Big B, son Abhishek and ‘bahu’ Aishwarya may repeat their Amsterdam act by a thrilling performance.

“Aishwarya, Abhishek and I will perform at IIFA if we are asked to do so,” adds Amitabh.
