New Delhi: The highly-awaited season three of reality show Bigg Boss was launched on Sunday night with superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who returned to the small screen after a gap of four years. Big B will be donning the role of a "pop philosopher".
Celebrities from different walks of life have been chosen for season three. And the contestants for this reality show which claims to be bigger, meaner and bossier this season have been chosen based on viewer's choice.
Housemates for season three include, model and former Mrs World Aditi Govitrikar; TV actor Bakhtiyar Irani and wife Tanaz Irani; actress Shamita Shetty who is Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty's sister; actress Poonam Dhillon; comedian Raju Srivastav; music director Ismail Darbar; item girl Sherlyn Chopra; actor Vindu Singh; Rakhi Sawant's mother Jaya Sawant; Deshdrohi actor-director Kamal R Khan; model Claudia and fashion designer Rohit Verma.
Bigg Boss is the Indian version of popular British reality show Big Brother.
The show has celebrity contestants locked into a house under the surveillance of multiple cameras for a period of three months without any contact with the outside world.
In the third season of the show this year, viewers will get to decide who they want to see in the Bigg Boss house.
