Bigg Boss, Day 1: Public wants to see 'nanga naach', says Sapna Bhavnani

New Delhi: So the action has already begun, from arguments to nominations, day 1 for contestants inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house was no less than a roller coaster ride. The 15 participants were asked to make seven pairs of two each, but model Niketan Madhok failed to find a partner. Bigg Boss surprised everyone when he announced Madhok as captain of the house; he is safe from eviction this week.

This was followed by the nomination process. Interestingly, all the teams were asked to nominate one pair from the other six. As expected; Karishma Kotak, Sapna Bhavnani, Aseem Trivedi, Dinesh Lal Yadav, Sampat Pal and Sana Khan were nominated for eviction. And then Bigg Boss asked one person from every nominated team to perform on a Bollywood song. Captain Niketan Madhok was asked to choose the best performer, who will be safe from eviction.

Niketan chose Sana over, Karishma and Dinesh. As a result, Sana and Samapt are safe from eviction this week. The drama began after that. Celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani said it’s easy for TV and film actors to grab people’s attention, but Karishma is a model and is upset as she might get eliminated this week. Sapna also has a problem with Bigg Boss emphasising so much on singing and dancing. She said, “I am a different kind of a woman. Me, Aseem and Sampat are revolutionist, we can’t do all this. This is the problem with ‘Bigg Boss’, people want to see the nanga naach (dirty dancing) on ‘Bigg Boss’. This is not our job and that is why people like us can never stay in this house till the end.”

When Kashif Qureshi tried to defend the entire singing-dancing concept and especially Karishma, Sapna got really furious and asked him to step out. Kashif is the only non-celebrity contestant on the show, but he seems well prepared for the show. He tried hard to convince Karishma that she is nominated because of Sapna.

Apart from being a celebrity hairstylist, Sapna is also an actress. She has also published a book ‘Style-o-wot’, she has produced and starred in a music video with a Mumbai indie band. Also a photographer and DJ, Sapna has been married and divorced twice. Just like her daring hairstyle, she is pretty outspoken and doesn’t think before making bold statements. Though it’s quite true that people prefer to see link ups and sizzling performances on the show, but the way she said it left all the housemates in a shock.
