Gaya: A total of 84 children have died in Gaya in Bihar in the last 80 days due to symptoms similar to encephalitis.
More than a dozen children are still admitted in the Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College in Gaya.
The children aged between two to eight years were brought in with high fever.
According to the medical college, 384 children have been admitted so far, of which 244 have been discharged.
Sitaran Prasad, medical superintendent, had said, "384 children had been admitted in the hospital of which 244 have been discharged. While 83 children have died here, 27 are still being treated."
