Muzzafarpur: The floods in Bihar have displaced thousands of people and driven many families apart. In Muzzafarpur four children have been stranded for a week without food or shelter.
A tattered polythene tent is the only shelter for Randhir Kumar and his three siblings.
Their parents, who had gone to fetch food a week ago, haven't returned so far. The children have no way to fend for themselves and are surviving on food provided by their neighbours.
“We are very hungry. We are surviving on food given by our neighbours,” says Randhit.
Randhir and his siblings cannot even leave the roof of their home where they have taken shelter. The whole neighbourhood is inundated, and the search for their parents have not yielded any results yet.
“We have no idea what happened to their parents. Some neighbours are giving them food,” says a neighbour, Subhas Rauwat.
