Gaya: A Mahadalit woman was beaten up and burnt to death by three men in Gaya in Bihar. She was beaten up because she refused to give them the money she had received under the government's Indira Awas Yojna to help her construct a house.
The woman sustained severe burn injuries and was rushed to the Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital. She died late on Monday night, police said.
An FIR has been lodged in the case. One person has been arrested while two suspects are absconding. Raids are being carried out to track them down.
