Bihar woman goes missing after honeymoon

New Delhi: It was a honeymoon that went horribly wrong. Newly weds Rajiv Singh and Rani Archana Singh were on their way back from Jailapiguri to Patna on Capital Express, when 30-year-old Archana disappeared, leaving behind just her slippers.

“Is anyone might have kidnapped her then she shouldn’t have been forced. The most the kidnappers might have done made her unconscious with a spray. There were no problems in our marriage. We were happy with each other,” says Rajiv.

“It is very hard to say anything right now as to who are involved in the kidnapping. Our small family is an innocent family who has no enmity with anyone,” adds Archana’s brother, Ravishankar Prasad.

Archana's father is an Additional District Judge serving in Banka district. The police have launched a manhunt to trace her.

“I do not think that it is a case of kidnapping. It is not possible for anyone to drag any woman from a rail seat until she willingly wants to go with the kidnapper. This is very far fetched,” says IG, Railway Police, Amrik Singh Nimbran.

Police believe that Archana's disappearance from a running train has a mystery surrounding it.

Various possible aspects are being explored. Neither kidnapping nor elopement is being ruled out as of now.

Special teams have also been put on the job.to crack this high profile missing case.
