New Delhi: One of the most anticipated flicks of this summer, Ajith's Billa II, is nearly complete — with only one song remaining to be canned. And that is the all-important title song for the film, which is actually a prequel to the 2007-blockbuster Billa. This title song, sources reveal, will be canned next week on March 6 and 7. The shooting for it is most likely to be in Mumbai, though the venue hasn't been finalised, say informed sources. Yuvan Shankar Raja, who was part of Billa, is also composing the tracks in the prequel.
Billa features former Miss World runner up Parvathy Omanakuttan, and Brazilian model Bruna Abdullah, along with the Ultimate Star. The film is being made by Chakri Toletti, who had earlier directed Kamal Haasan's Unnaipol Oruvan.
"Though May 1 is being discussed widely as the release date for the film, we are considering the possibility of releasing it on April 27, a Friday, instead of May Day, which falls on a Tuesday," said an official film source. Given the popularity that the title song of Billa 2007 enjoys, it is no surprise when sources say Yuvan has composed a cracker of a song for the prequel too! And the wait for it will not be too long with the film's sound tracks likely to make way into music stores in mid-March without any fanfare.
